The precursor to Doctor 10 was the band Victory, a four-piece rock band performing covers and original material with a different drummer to today’s line up and a very different feel to the current band.
The current members originate from the Coventry / Bedworth area of the Midlands and sight influences as diverse as Led Zeppelin, Mott The Hoople, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Status Quo, The Beatles, Paul Weller and Megadeath.
The band has been performing together since late 1993 with a combination of covers and distinctive original material (the latter of which the band prefer to perform).
Record company interest in 1995 confirmed that the band have a significant contribution to make with a push in the appropriate direction.
Since this time, Doctor 10 have continued to work at their music, both live and recorded, by playing around the Midlands at ‘venue’ pubs and also by invitation to Wales and the BRITS School for Performing Arts, Croydon.
The band has also performed in various Coventry ‘Positive Images’ Festivals and also at Coventry City Football Club on match day.
The Bands debut album ‘RED’ has been well received with particular acclaim expressed for several tracks including Suicide, Night & Day and Say That You Love Me amongst others.
Late 2000, keyboard player Steven Kletzenbauer decided to leave the band due to family commitments and the band continued to perform as a three piece.
Graham took a break from the band in 2002 for a couple of years whilst Anthony & Rick continued playing together with a new bass player called Mark English, but mid 2005 Graham rejoined the band to complete the current line up.
Doctor 10 are currently spending much rehearsal time in putting together a new set of covers and original material and although classics such as Rock and Roll, Tie Your Mother Down, Doctor Doctor, Wishing Well, Whole Lotta Rosie will never completely disappear from the set it is hoped that Doctor 10 versions of other classics will be as well received! New material includes songs from Bon Jovi, Creed, Nickleback, & Oasis.
It is hoped that the band can make time for more recording mid to late 2006 with tracks such as Heartbreaker, Life Is Strange & Just Another Day destined to form the backbone of a new as yet untitled album.
